A 9 year-old kid is now the official announcer of the Brazilian F1 GP

Chances are you're not aware of this Brazilian hit video. If you sum all the views from reposts of this video it'll easily be in the millions of views.

Even more likely, you don't get what made it become a hit or what's funny about it. It's hard to explain. But I think everyone that now laughs at this video has said "WTF" when they first saw it in March, this year.

The video is basically this kid narrating his cousin Marco going down the hill on their grandma Salvelina's house, and yelling at him to go faster.

Jump forward a few months. It's now a national meme. People say it like it's 1999 and we're saying !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Yeah.

This meme has been overplayed already. It has been used on songs, ads all over and even political campaigns for this year's elections. But the F1 GP is still the biggest racing event in Brazil. And nothing of this size, neither something that's this serious has used a meme to promote itself. So it's actually pretty unusual.

Anyways, here's the official Ad for the F1 GP in São Paulo, Brazil:

So, instead of "Marco" he yells a Hamilton, in the local accent (replacing the H with an R), and instead of their grandma's hill, it's the "S do Senna" corner.

You probably won't get what's funny about it. But I think it's at least pretty interesting to see something as serious as the F1 GP being narrated by a 9-year old kid.
